Mortgage rates crept higher in early November, but are still lower than they were last year, according to the World Property Journal. The survey was taken immediately before the presidential election and shows average mortgage rates during the first week of November:
- 30-year Fixed: 3.57%, up from 3.54% a week earlier. Last year, the 30-year Fixed averaged 3.98%.
- 15-year Fixed: 2.88%, up from 2.84% last week. Last year, the 15-year Fixed averaged 3.20%.
- 5-year ARM: 2.88% up from last week when it averaged 2.87%. Last year, the 5-year ARM averaged 3.03%.
