New Jersey Leads States with Foreclosure Rates

Despite a buoyant real estate market over the past 5-years and a drastic reduction in the number of distressed properties, foreclosures can still be found in different areas throughout the nation.

A study by ATTOM Data Solutions, cited by Realtor.com, identified the top 10 States with foreclosures as of June 2017:

1 in every 272 housing units

9. Ohio
1 in every 229 housing units

8. South Carolina
1 in every 221 housing units

7. Florida
1 in every 217 housing units

6. Nevada
1 in every 215 housing units

5. Connecticut
1 in every 200 housing units

4. Illinois
1 in every 183 housing units

3. Maryland
1 in every 161 housing units

2. Delaware
1 in every 137 housing units

1. New Jersey
1 in every 101 housing units
