Verizon will sell a portfolio of 24 data center sites to data center giant Equinix, Inc. for $3.6 billion in an all cash transaction, reported Street Insider. The 24 sites consist of 29 data center buildings across 15 metro areas.
The sites are located in Atlanta, Bogotá, Boston, Chicago, Culpeper, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, São Paulo, Seattle, Silicon Valley, and Washington, D.C.
The transaction is expected to close by mid-2017.
