Real Estate Giants Move Up the Fortune 500 List

Buoyed by a hot global property market, real estate giants CBRE and Jones Lang Lasalle are moving up on the Fortune 500 List.

CBRE, the world’s largest real estate service firm, ranked 207 on the 2018 Fortune 500 list, up from the 214th spot in 2017, according to Business Wire. CBRE was responsible for more than $337 billion of property sales and lease transactions in 2017, and managed more than 5.5 billion sq. ft. (including properties managed by affiliates) of commercial properties and corporate facilities as of December 31, 2017. The Los Angeles-based company also operates the largest commercial real estate development company in the U.S. (Trammell Crow Company) and one of the world’s largest real estate investment management businesses (CBRE Global Investors).

Meanwhile, PR News Wire reported that Chicago-based Jones Lang LaSalle moved up 35 spots from 2017 to rank 356th on the 2018 list. The move places JLL among the companies that made the biggest moves up. JLL’s annual total revenue reached a record high of $7.9 billion in 2017 and employs 83,500 professionals.
