Mortgage Rates Resume Drop

According to Freddie Mac’s latest Primary Mortgage Market Survey, the average U.S. mortgage rate dropped for the second consecutive week as of July 27, 2017:

  • 30-Year Fixed: Averaged 3.92%, down from last week when it averaged 3.96%. A year ago at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 3.48%.
  • 15-Year Fixed: Averaged 3.20%, down from last week when it averaged 3.23%. A year ago at this time, the 15-year FRM averaged 2.78%.
  • 5-Year Adjustable-Rate Mortgage (ARM): Averaged 3.18%, down from last week when it averaged 3.21%. A year ago at this time, the 5-year ARM averaged 2.78%.
