Average Daily Rate at U.S. Hotels Reaches $127.47

The Average Daily Rates (ADR) at U.S. hotels reached $127.47 during the week of May 21-27, a 2.5% increase from the previous week, according to a report by STR. The report, which was cited by Hotels News Resource, also found the following:

  • Occupancy:  Up 0.5% to 70.3%
  • Revenue per available room (RevPAR):  Up 3.1% to US$89.67

In terms of RevPAR, the best performing markets were:

  • Boston, MA: +19.1% to $208.53
  • Nashville, TN: +16.3% to $122.90
  • Phoenix, AZ:  +14.0% to $76.81
  • Atlanta, GA: +10.5% to $82.69

In terms of ADR, the best performing markets were:

  • Boston, MA:  +12.1% to $234.62
  • Nashville, TN:  +10.6% to $82.69

Phoenix saw the largest increase in occupancy (+8.1% to 69.4%).

The weakest performing markets were:

San Francisco/San Mateo, CA

  • ADR:  -8.3% to $213.32
  • RevPAR:  -13.0% to $185.41
  • Occupancy:  -5.1% to 86.9%

Oahu, HI and Tampa, FL also experienced a 5.1% decreases in occupancy.
