Beginning on January 1st, 2017, Jim Amorin, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS of Austin, Texas was elected for a one-year term as president of the Appraisal Institute, the nation’s largest professional association of real estate appraisers with nearly 20,000 professionals.
According to an interview with Appraisal Buzz, Mr. Amorin is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in finance and real estate & urban land development and began working in the real estate valuation profession in 1988.
